Situated close to the South Downs, Alresford Golf Club is one of the oldest in Hampshire and is renowned for its all-year-round playing conditions.
We are a popular choice for Societies, many booking with us year after year.
We offer:
A well-presented, walkable Course, offering a good test for all golfing levels and ages.
A blend of short and long par 4s, make for good birdie chances offset by holes where a par always feels a good result. The five Par 3s offer a stern test. Make your score on these and you have the basis of a solid round.
Alresford regularly hosts County amateur and Professional competitions and so requires solid course management, good accuracy and distance control and a good putting stroke to cope with the slick greens and tricky slopes.

With our catering partner – The Kitchen@ we offer Societies a number of options to suit most budgets, ranging from a simple breakfast roll to a full three-course meal.
The Course is situated on chalk downland and has been designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) by the Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre and Unique and Superb by the Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust. Large parts of the rough, such as the area enclosed by the 2nd, 3rd and 17th fairways, are rare ancient downland and afford wonderful views across the surrounding countryside.
The modern Clubhouse has an extensive shaded patio area offering views over holes 9, 10 and 18 – presenting a great opportunity to watch your Society friends complete their round whilst relaxing with a well earned drink.
We have a set of practice facilities which rate amongst the best in Hampshire and all within 50 yards of the first tee, giving members of your Society every chance to tune their game before going out to play. Mark Wood and his team can offer you a range of prizes and even set up your prize table for you.
