The relationship of the playing pair must be parent, grandparent, stepparent, or step-grandparent with a child or grandchild. Relatives such as Uncle, Aunts, Nephews, and Nieces are not eligible. Both players do not need to be a current member of AGC.
In 2022 the competition was opened to any family relationship. Whilst these players were encourage to participate they are not eligible to win the trophy and/or prize
