Is there a standard depth of sand in the bunkers that we try to maintain?

In general we try to maintain a raked sand depth of at least an inch, which is in keeping with industry standards. However, this is dependant on green keeping staff being able to perform regular maintenance and thus is dependant on staffing levels, weather and priority of other maintenance tasks. It should also be noted that the depth of sand will vary as sand gets moved around during the course of raking by players. Also, as sand compacts and gets topped up over time the total depth of sand will increase.
