Trolley ban information

Subject:
Trolley ban information

Message:
Saturday saw our first heavy frost of the winter and, as expected, there was a trolley ban. I would like to suggest that a sign is placed on the grass in front of the webcam so that members can see, minute by minute, whether the trolley ban has been lifted. It can be very difficult to get through to the Pro-shop on the phone to find out and it puts unnecessary additional workload on whoever is manning it.

We do have a sign which is placed on the grass area outside the clubhouse, to indicate whether there is a trolley ban. This is visible by the webcam and is put out by the Greenstaff after their early morning course inspection in conjunction with the message on the course information line ( 01962 733746 opt 1). It is then removed by either the Greenstaff (weekday) or Professional (weekend) at the time the ban is lifted. We apologise but on this occasion the duty Greenkeeper forgot to place the sign after briefing the Pro-Shop on the condition of the course.
