STRI Report on Greens Condition Added

The latest STRI (Sports Turf Research Institute) Report on the condition of our greens has been added to the Greens Committee folder of the Member Minutes. Members can view the minutes folders after logging in.

The STRI Programme has been developed in partnership with hundreds of golf clubs and tailored to provide valuable information for greenkeepers, managers, chair of greens and golf club committees. The information gives you a detailed view of the current status of greens and allows you to track your progress and improvements in playing quality on greens.

A set of measurements is taken for each of the following characteristics on each green, the data and results are then analysed and the correlation between the results is identified:

• Firmness
• Smoothness
• Trueness
• Speed
• Moisture levels
• Soil analysis
