Air Ambulance Cheque Presentation

Immediate Past Captain, George Clelland was able to present the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance a cheque for £9350 resulting from all the charity fundraising activities held during his year in office. Accepting the cheque on behalf of the charity, June Leatheam (Community & Corporate Fundraiser) said, ‘this is a tremendous effort from the club and is really, really appreciated by everyone involved with the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance‘.

Activities include a successful charity day which went ahead despite the torrential downpours in June, a sponsored sky dive by the Social Committee Chairman James Stewart, and the ever popular Captain’s French Trip.

The presentation took place prior to the club’s annual Christmas draw evening attended by nearly 100 members who enjoyed an evening of carols, prize draws and refreshments to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
