In addition to Simon and Malcolm’s coaching commitments at the club, they are involved with the Hampshire Golf Union helping to develop golf in the county through zone training and at the Hampshire School of Excellence.

Golf Mark

Alresford Golf Club have both Golf Mark and Club Mark status. Golf Mark is a national scheme that identifies and recognises junior and beginner friendly golf facilities. More details of Golf Mark and Club Mark can be found at www.golfmark.org

Tom Beecher has been named as the 2010 Junior Captain. We all wish Tom a happy a successful season.

Alresford have been drawn to play Romsey Golf Club in the County Green Jackets event. Alresford were victorious against Southampton last year but lost to Hockley in the 2nd round to deny them a spot in the quarter finals.

Equipment

We stock an extensive range of junior equipment in the Professionals shop, from balls and gloves to footwear and clubs. US Kids Golf supply us with the very latest in junior equipment offering clubs for the youngest of golfers to our junior colts. www.uskidsgolf.com

Coaching

Members
Junior Coaching takes place every Sunday morning for junior club members from 10:00 – 11:00. Each week our members will learn from our team of experienced professionals to help them improve their golfing ability.

Non Members
Junior Development classes for young aspiring golfers take place an hour earlier from 9:00 – 10:00. These classes are designed for non members who are interested in experiencing golf. Coaching involves the practice of each skill needed to play with the addition of the rules and etiquette to offer children the perfect step into golf. Coaching mornings during school holidays from 9:00 -12:00. Details of these courses can be found on our website or on the notice board at the club.
